Portland’s Salt & Straw Second LA Shop Open For Business

On January 15, Salt & Straw opened its doors to the public. "It's been an incredible journey since we first came down to Los Angeles last year, and we are so excited to continue setting down roots in this thriving food city with a shop on Abbot Kinney," says Kim Malek, Founder of Salt & Straw. "We are so inspired by the creative vision pervading the neighborhood, and the breadth of fantastic restaurants and food artisans, and are looking forward to joining this unique enclave of Los Angeles."
The trendy 1,035-square-foot space sits on the corner of Abbot Kinney and California Ave. Open daily from 11am-11pm, the Abbot Kinney shop will offer guests a taste of Salt & Straw's staples like Freckled Woodblock Chocolate andAlmond Brittle with Salted Ganache; and LA-specific flavors like Stumptown Coffee & Compartes Love Nuts. Recipes are created with 100% all-natural cream from Scott Brothers Dairy in-line with Salt & Straw's philosophy to source the best possible products available, and all ice creams are churned in a local kitchen in Boyle Heights to ensure optimal quality and freshness.
