We visited Rigo and Holly at Doggie Central, now in their one year anniversary of taking over new ownership of their dog daycare, grooming and dog swimming facility in Culver City.
Many local building campuses do not allow pets and Doggie Central provides daily cage-free boarding for doggies from many companies in the area, including IMAX, 72&Sunny, and Core Digital Media.
The weather is perfect for swim time and Doggie Central offers an expansive pool for great low-impact exercise and beneficial therapy for dogs with joint or arthritis problems. They even have “dock diving” classes, where dogs run down the dock and handlers try to get them to fly as far as they can after a toy. All swim dogs are suited in a life-jacket and toys for fun and play. Doggie Central even host’s doggie swim parties and their more recent was with 18 Corgis!
The husband and wife team of Rigo and Holly Medrano took over the operation of Doggie Central in May of 2015 after the tragic and sudden death of founder Faith Mantooth. Holly and Rigo, who married in 2007, met at Doggie Central, when Faith gave Holly her first full-time job in 2005. Together, they hope to honor Faith’s legacy by continuing her commitment to providing the best care possible to Doggie Central’s customers.
Rigo and Holly continue to expand their daycare services, with 4 new dog trainers, grooming, teeth cleaning and more to provide a unique experience for their 4-legged clients. The newest edition to Doggie Central is their “Dog Mobile” and may be transporting pooches back and forth to work places.
